One Stop Shop for Local Content launched in Cabo Delgado
The launch marks a milestone to empower local businesses and Mozambican citizens.
The Mozambique LNG Project, led by TotalEnergies, participated in the Cabo Delgado Economic Fair, held last weekend, under the motto “Sharing Investment Opportunities to Accelerate Reconstruction, Industrialization and Development”. Leonardo Nhavoto, Local Content Manager for the LNG Mozambique project, outlines how the project is maximizing local content.
On the occasion, Leonardo Nhavoto, Local Content manager, in a highly welcomed speech, reaffirmed the commitment of our Mozambique LNG project to maximize local content, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the country in general and of Cabo Delgado, in particular.
Leonardo spoke about our approach to local content, our CapacitaMoz platform and highlighted the opening, last week, of the Mozambique LNG Project's Local Content One Stop Shop in the City of Pemba, which aims to contribute for the promotion and enhancement of training and creating business opportunities for Mozambican entities and individuals, and showed, with concrete examples, some of the results already achieved, namely:
In addition to the CapacitaMoz initiative, Leonardo also referred to the 4,000 jobs created under our Pamoja Tunaweza initiative, and to the 68 young Mozambicans who have already benefited or are benefiting from higher education scholarships in France.
