TotalEnergies Recognized for Commitment to Transparency in Mozambique

Total E&P Mozambique Area 1 (TEPMA1) has been recognized for its commitment to transparency and the disclosure of information relating to its operations in Mozambique.

The award was made by the Center for Public Integrity (CIP) during the Extractive Industries Transparency Index 2019 – 2020 Seminar comprising participants from Government institutions, mining and oil and gas companies, civil society organizations and development partners in the country.

This is the first event of its nature organized by this civil society organization and brings an analysis of the information made available on websites of 12 companies in the Mozambican extractive sector in the components of:

1) fiscal; 2) corporate and social governance; and 3) environmental management.

With this index, CIP intends that the availability of information from mining and oil and gas companies in Mozambique will be made available to the society in a regular, meaningful and accessible manner.

TotalEnergies was represented on this event by Milva Mafuca, E&S Lenders Interface coordinator/CSO Coordinator.
